At Little Pilgrim’s Preschool and Enrichment Program, our daycare is dedicated to give your child, an open environment to grow. Located in the Laurel District of Oakland, California. With over 25 years of experience, our program encourages a child to reach for their dreams.

Our Preschool age group is from two years old to 4/5 years old, depending on birthdate and kindergarten readiness.

Our School-Age program age group ranges from kindergarten to 6th grade.

With enrollment in our school-age program, we provide pick up and drop off services to and from school (in Oakland). Tutoring and homework comes before play time after school.

Our preschool classes provide breakfast, lunch, naptime, snack, and small classes broken up into age group. By kindergarten, your child will be ready with all that is needed to progress into elementary school.

We are a Lutheran based program. Our beliefs our open and loving. Our church’s Pastor, Paul Holt, has been a Pastor for over 30 years. He marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the sixties, has worked with the 100 Black Men inc., Highland Hospital, the John George Program, and many other prestigious programs throughout his career. Pastor Paul and his wife Linda Holt, our director, have 12 children of their own, six of which are adopted. His love for humanity, and the community of Oakland, is undying. Pastor Paul Holt drives our daycare in the Big Blue Bus on our weekly fieldtrips during the Summer. Ask about our 20% off tuition with attending two church services per month.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message of unity and love, has been a huge part of our philosophy in terms of our student’s development. We believe that we are one people. No one should be judged by the color of their skin, but judged by the content of their character. Their are some young characters running around our yards and classrooms, but each one is celebrated. We instill in our youth, ideas of love, acceptance, celebration of diversity, and unity. Oakland is a very diverse place, and it should stay that way. Oakland should be celebrated, and our youth should be celebrated as well. Our youth should grow together, and never splinter apart into segregated groups, this is something Pilgrim’s believes. We celebrate our cultures, and differences together, because our various cultures are important. Coming together is even more important. Once a year we celebrate each other, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at our Multicultural Celebration and Potluck.
